Deuter Trail 28 SL Daypack - Women's

I currently use the Women's Deuter Trail 28 SL Pack. Thomas and I purchased our day packs from the REI Outlet store in Colorado Springs, CO. It is incredibly important to make sure that your packs are fitted correctly. All REI stores have specialists that assist in fitting and adjusting gear. There are a few qualities that sold me on this specific pack.

REI Co-op Flash Boots - Women's

The amount of shoe options can be a bit overwhelming. Some people prefer to wear trail runners, which fit more like a tennis shoe. Low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise boots are also an option. You also have to consider factors like short or long distance, waterproof, tread type, etc. It is important to recognize that shoes are more of a "what works for you" purchase and differ for every person.

I initially went into the REI Outlet store in Colorado Springs looking for a Merrell Moab 2 Mid boot. My size was out of stock in all color options, so the REI Co-op Flash boot was recommended by a specialist. I used this boot for around a year and really liked it.

Merrell Siren Traveller 3 Mid - Women's

I had to purchase a new pair of boots after leaving my REI Flash pair in Colorado this past summer. There is not an REI store in the state of Arkansas, and I really like to try shoes on in-person before purchasing. Family Shoe Store in Clarksville, AR carries a few different styles of women's and men's hiking boots. They had a pair of Merrell Siren Traveller 3s in my size. I have not had a lot of opportunity to wear these at this point, but there are a few things that really sold me on this style.
